Summary:
The goal of the proposed project is analysis, design, and implementation of SOA-based clinical information system for tracking of children with surgery diseases. The development of methods and software tools, based on web services and Internet applications for building distributed CIS and related EPR, clinical archives, algorithms and modules for analysis of treatment-diagnosis data are envisioned in the project.
For this purpose the following will be realize:

System analysis of treatment-diagnosis events and design of XML-based electronic medical records for pediatric surgery departments;

Development of methods and libraries for analysis and processing of treatment-diagnosis data;

Design and implementation of web-based experimental CIS for analysis of models for integration with other e-Health systems (HIS, National e-Health Portal) and the flow of information between their components and building blocks;

Development of methods and libraries for integration of web applications and services in CIS for tracking children with surgery diseases;
-
Development of methods, web-applications and services for integration of CIS with hospital information systems, national integration system of information exchange between employees in healthcare, and national e-halth portal;

Development of methods and software tools for information security, authentication, and authorisation;
-
Identification and justification of promising areas for interdisciplinary research in doctoral studies and for preparation and participation in national and international projects.

Summary:
The invasion of Internet in all aspects of human life has led to the development of modern applications for e-business, like e-commerce, e-government, e-learning, e-health, etc. New standards and technologies for e-business, based on the Web services architecture, that includes: XML, SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), WSDL (Web Services Description Language) and UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery and Integration) are developed. This initiates the development of distributed applications, based on program-to-program communication.
Key goal of the project is the analysis of the latest technologies in web services and their integration and adaptation in distributed automation, based on controllers with embedded TCP/IP stack and Web server. For this puprose, a model of information flow and representation in distributed automation systems will be developed, employing the standards of e-business, working on HTTP/TCP. Modules and libraries for integration of Web sevices in distributed embedded systems will be developed and exposed.
Previous work of the team members in the fields of web services and distributed automation assures the success of the transfer of the e-business technologies in this field. This transfer will provide new opportunities in distributed automation and control engineering. Scientific results are expected to be the base for establishment of virtual research laboratory in the field of computer networks and distributed computing. There the lecturers, PhD and MSc students of TU-Sofia, branch Plovdiv will work in collaboration with researchers from ICCS BAS. The applied results are expected to give the small and medium enterprises new technologies to force their integration to the European market and standards.

Summary:
The main goal of the project is analysis of attacks in Web service applications and development of methiods for securing the content. The security should be based on implementation fo modules an proxy services with existing state-of-the-art technologies for web service security.
The task of the project is development of experimental distributed information system for monitoring of the access to the integrated web services. Research part of the project consists of analysis of the implemented proxy services and their interaction with the information services - should there be different proxy service for each information service or one proxy service could work with a group of information services.

Summary:
The goal of the project is to build an experimental environment for test-bed analysis of different protocols and processes in the individual tiers of one multi-tier web-based personal health system. The following scientific tasks will be considered in persuing the given goal:
1. Building a test-bed for analysis of application and communication protocols and various parameters of Body Sensor Networks (BSN). These will require realization of a prototype of personal monitor (BSN coordinator), formation of wireless network from different medical sensors, definition of protocols and procedures in BSN.
2. Analysis of time-related parameters in one multi-tier web-based PHS and components of delay in the individual tiers, both using mathematical and simulational tools.
