Distributed Systems and Networking V-Lab

   Mitko P. Shopov was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on June 17,1982. He finished High School of Mathematics in 2001 and received BSc and MSc degrees in computer engineering from Technical University of Sofia, branch Plovdiv in 2005 and 2008 respectively. From June to September 2005, he was a visiting researcher at Nottingham Trent University, UK. He joined the Distributed Systems and Networking laboratory in October 2005. Since December 2007 he is working as a system administrator in the ICT Department (TU-Plovdiv). From July 2008 he is a doctoral student at Department of Electronics (TU-Plovdiv). His research interests include parallel and distributed computing, distributed embedded systems and networking.

Curriculum Vitae        

    My research interests span the areas of computer networks, simulation modeling of network protocols and architectures, distributed and parallel computing, distributed measurement and control, service oriented archtectures, network and web programming, and embedded systems. My current work focuses on design, deployment and evaluation of web-based personal health systems, multi-tier architectures and integration of SOA and Web Service in distributed embedded systems.
